An early evening

Another sunny day so we decided a walk was definitely required. Getting the sun on your face seems valuable in this time of very short days.
However, before doing the walk we decided to clean the outside of our upstairs windows. There were smears and dust on the outside, presumably from when they were installed. It was so lovely to turn them around and to be able to stand inside and clean the outside! Which turned out to be a longer job than expected because some of the smears were difficult to remove.
Once that job was done we jumped in the car and drove off to the High Coast Hotel to feast our eyes on a different view. The sun was already down when we drove away but once we parked and set off walking the views were as lovely as ever and the sky was continually changing as the day slowly came to an end. Both the sky and the reflections in the river impressed me.
The picture was taken at 14:40 and it was already getting dark. The "evenings" come very early in this part of the world!
There's a lot of ice underfoot so the "ice bug" shoes came in very handy. The sea is still ice-free but just above the bridge there were some big patches of ice forming. It'll be interesting to see if/how that develops in the run up to end of the year.
