Signs of spring

Day two of the storm here seemed worse than yesterday’s peak. We went for a walk but the windchill was bitter. These “catkins” were some compensation for the wintry chill and a reminder that spring will eventually arrive! Many parts of the south west were without power today because of the severity of the storm. At the moment we seem to get storms at fortnightly intervals. The northern hemisphere jet streams have been out of sorts all year.
