celebrating

27 years ago today, on a cold and frosty day, Luke arrived! Sarah’s birthday card shows another time when he emerged head first - this time from the boot of my car in the summer. Sarah had pretended to be driving into town for food, and on her return, Luke, Maria and Otter surprised us by jumping out of the boot :-)

We had hope to spend some time on the beach today, but Storm Darragh blew in, blocking the roads with fallen trees, so we decided against it. Knitting, board games and present opening passed the time until the wind died down and we could go out for a walk. I think Luke has enjoyed his day. I’m about to cook his birthday tea.
