Tonight we are having our Christmas meal, traditionally prepared by the younger generation. I did all the shopping this morning and now there is a flurry of companiable preparation going on.

We await Storm Darragh with some trepidation, not least because of the direction of the winds (from the north west).

The dogs have been swimming so are tired out.
