Kitchen Window

It has been a proper storm, with a sleepless night, waiting for the chimney to crash down into my bedroom, or the roof to take off, which it sounded like it would on a number of occasions.

Lying in the dark waiting for a disaster can be quite unnerving.

But we escaped unscathed, no damage done and the (new) roof held fast.

Phew!!

I hope everyone else is safe...

The blip is the bird feeder outside our kitchen window.

It had been inundated with hungry birds  but the movement of me raising the camera scared most of them off...

The braver ones got the prize this time.

I hope the storm abates this evening, I need my 'beauty sleep'!
