Although we had to check out of our lodge by 10am, we were able to use the spa facilities for as long as we liked :-)
Sarah and Chris took the dogs for a walk while we swam, sauna’d and lay on the hot stone loungers…then we all met up in the hotel bar lounge, a place where I could happily spend hours just gazing at this beautiful Christmas tree…and the bar wasn’t even open!
We left eventually for lunch at the Little Rock cafe and then headed to the ferry terminal. By now, it was raining cats and dogs, and due to the expected gale force winds, our ferry was the last to leave the island today.
It was dark by the time we arrived home, having dropped Joe back at his flat on the way. We cooked haggis, roast veg and homemade mince pies for tea, and now there is another round or two of the pandemic board game going on. The dogs are out for he count and soon I shall be, too.
