He's behind it

I have been waiting months for Neil to come here and do a few jobs that I couldn't do myself.  Today was the day as he's on holiday from work this week and next.

He arrived around 12.30pm.  Didn't take him long to do what was needed..... replace the two fluorescent tube lights in the kitchen ( one hasn't worked for ages and the other has been inconsistent - sometimes taking 10 mins to come on )  and change the bulb on the landing upstairs which hasn't worked for a while.  He didn't even need a ladder to change the landing bulb.  So pleased to have a light there now as its been rather unsafe in the dark.

Then we walked to The Fellsider pub and had some food.  You can see Neils meal in my main blip - it was Thai Sticky Honey Pork Belly kebab on a hanging  skewer with naan bread and chips.  I chose turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce and gravy sandwich with chips.  The sandwich was delicious - but rather messy to eat as the cranberry sauce and gravy were oozing out all over the place.  Ive added Extras of me and Neil by the Christmas tree - and a shot of my sandwich.

After the meal Neil walked down to the village to catch his bus home and I did a quick shop in the Co-op which is near to the pub.  Walked home.

Lovely to see Neil and have a catch up in person.  We message each other every day but its not the same as seeing him.  I'm glad hes got these 2 weeks off as hes been very busy at work lately and deserves a break.

Weather today was OK but it was very dull and chilly.  Some sunshine would have been nice.
