Left Edinburgh in beautiful sunshine and after the mandatory stop at a supermarket arrived home mid-afternoon. Just got in door when our good friends, who themselves were just back, phoned to invite us for a drink in their garden. Unbelievably hot for this part of the world- just hope it continues until all the washing is done. Daughter Rachel, grandson Finn and Fletcher the dog arrived to welcome us home and to stay over.
