Back in Blighty

Long day of driving to catch Caen - Portsmouth ferry at 4.30 p.m. Lost in Caen but helped out by lovely French receptionist in Caen hotel who had spent 3 years working in Glasgow. Ended up being the usual 3 hours early. Very calm crossing arriving in at 9.15 p.m. And then drove to Ardley and was rewarded with large glass of wine from Lynn, Callum, Catherine and Izzy. Bed felt wonderful! Staying here for a day then up to Edinburgh to see Laura, Ray, Amelie and Sophia.
