Maria and Ben visit.

The First Sunday of Advent.
The Feast Day of Saint Eligius and Saint Charles de Foucauld, a Trappist Monk and hermit.
We have enjoyed a visit from our daughter Maria and her patron Ben. Maria brought me a birthday card for yesterday some birthday presents including dark chocolate with ginger. We had a lovely time chatting, playing g games and watching channel 4 where there were several Christmas cartoons we love.
They get the keys to their new house on 19th December and there is so much to do, because they have been living in a furnished apartment in Leeds.
They were then driving to a music concert in Manchester.
Our Christmas tree is up early because we wanted Maria and Ben to see it, as they are going to family in Harrow for Christmas and we will not see them until after Boxing Day.
Later I will watch Holy Mass from Sheffield. I will light my first Advent Candle.
The weather has been really fantastic, sunny and milder. I didn't need four layers nor a warm hat.
