Birthday collage.
The Feast Day of Saint Andrew, Patron Saint of Scotland. Born 5AD Galilee Israel, died 30th November 60AD, in Patras, Greece.
It was to Peter and his brother Andrew that Our Lord Jesus said "Come and follow me, and I will make you fishers of men".
Saint Andrew was born in Bethsaida and started off following St John the Baptist, until he answered the call of Christ Jesus.
St Andrew is also the patron of fishermen, ropemakers, singers, miners, protection from sore throats, convulsions and fever.
It has been a mild sunny day for my birthday. Paul and me are both the same age now!!
I have been out shopping locally and then for a long walk.
I went to visit my friend Lynn and took her a wedge of birthday cake and a mince pie.
Family have phoned and I heard from my daughter Maria and cousin Jean who lives in the South East. She was 87 yesterday.
Paul is going to make us a salmon evening meal with corn, garlic mushrooms and boiled potatoes. He bought us a very luxurious sweet, for afters. We don't usually have one, except on special occasions. It is a Tesco Belgian Chocolate Brownie Cheesecake. I am looking forward to eating a small piece.
Tomorrow we are hoping to put up our Christmas tree, so it will look beautiful for when Maria and Ben visit on Sunday afternoon.
I hope you enjoy your Saturday and thank you very much for visiting my site today.
