Afternoon light (Day 3491)
Unusually I slept until 830 this morning. I can't remember the last time I slept so late. Sigyn needed a wander so we headed out and up the hill in sunshine. I got waaaay to warm, which is unusual for November. Back home, after breakfast I set about unloading the bags of pellets I collected for the boiler yesterday. Normally I carry two or three bags at a time. Today I was sensible and only moved one at a time.
Once I had that done, I got the van reloaded with the stuff I will need for work on Monday and stopped for a coffee.
I took Sigyn a wander at Lyde, and got too warm again, then returned home for lunch before zooming to Stromness to check on the horses.
The overnight rain have left the field a bit of a swamp and I really struggled to move around without slipping, but I managed to stay upright. Sliding around in mud gave me massive belts of sciatic pain which was pretty grim.
In general the level of pain has reduced a fair bit, but it is still pretty sore and generally uncomfortable most of the time despite the concoction of painkillers I am using.
Back home to await the return of my beautiful wife from her adventures south.
