Tree from a tree

For a few years now, Nick has been turning wee wooden Christmas trees but this will probably be one of the last he will do and he has made it as a special request for a friend. He has done all sorts of designs over the years, some with colour and glitter and others left bare like this one. This is one of my favourites.
Bertie and I had a breezy walk in the morning and the wind made him very energetic and excitable. Apart from his afternoon walk, he spent the rest of the day calmly indoors, unlike his stormy namesake which renewed its windy efforts in the afternoon.
Again, it was a small gathering of us at church this afternoon so it was good to be joined by two new faces. One had come over the hill from Tobermory to see what we get up to on a Sunday. The other was our new minister who takes up her new post next weekend. Her unexpected presence was a bit nerve-wracking for me as it was my turn to stand up and do the reflection.
