Twirly
Twirly (short for ‘too early’) is what we say to Bertie dog when he comes asking for his dinner half and hour, or more, before it is due. Today, I spotted this Christmas treat in the village shop and gave in to the temptation and bought it ‘twirly’ before there was a run on them and I missed out.
Storm Bert (the wind, not the dog) blew through this morning with no adverse effects other than no ferries running. The wind had dropped considerably by lunchtime so Nick, Bertie and I headed over to the Community Orchard for a work party to tidy things up for our Advent event next weekend. A number of us pruned the willow labyrinth which was fun and very rewarding. I had intended to take a photo for Blip but I was so intent on the task in hand that I completely forgot. Hence the twirly panettone.
