What a Treat

Well…what a strange week of weather we’ve had. Wednesday we had a mini blizzard and it was very very cold. Today, we have strong gusty winds and the temperature reading in the car late morning was 17 degrees!

Having cleared all the leaves in the garden last week, I was rather disappointed to find that a load more had come down all over the garden. I’m glad I didn’t go out and spend ages clearing them up though, because (as if by magic), most of them have disappeared! I presume the strong wind yesterday and today has gathered them all up again and now they are another gardener’s problem. I’ve not escaped the task entirely though as our corkscrew hazel is yet to shed its many leaves.

M and I needed a couple of things from town today so while we were there we indulged in coffee and a shared espresso coffee & caramel chocolate brownie. We’d had an early start and breakfast as the F1 Las Vegas Grand Prix started at 6am, so a coffee and a bite or two of cake late morning was very welcome.
