A Cattle Egret I Presume?

A and I enjoyed a walk around Pensthorpe Natural Park this morning.  The English Longhorn cattle have been moved to the wildflower meadow, presumably to improve the grazing for next spring.

I took this rather hurried photo of one of the cows when I saw this bird land on its back.  I think it's a cattle egret, which feed on the insects and grubs that are brought to the surface when the cattle graze.  Please correct me if I'm wrong.  If it is a cattle egret then I'm rather pleased to have seen one.

The extra is a seedhead (possible clematis?) that we came across near the millennium gardens.

A splendid walk.
