A beautiful bouquet of roses.
The Feast Day of Saint Gelasius.Pope. ruled from 492 to 496.
Today it is minus 3 and eye wateringly chilly. I wrapped up well in 4 layers and walked down to Cohens our chemist, but came straight home, no canal walk, as it was not great being cold for more time than necessary. We saw a small mouse in the garden eating bird food. He scampered about on the snowy lawn, enjoying bread crumbs and dried fruit. Then he scurried along the fence into the man at the end of the garden's shrubbery. Bless him. It is a tough time for the wildlife, but I hope he doesn't have a family in our shed!
My sister kindly sent us these beautiful roses for our Wedding Anniversary. Tomorrow we will have been married 38 years. My sister has been married 41 years. She is a lovely sister and always remembers my birthday and special family occasions.
My new light green Thinsulate Mountain Warehouse hat has just been delivered and the medium large size fits me perfectly. It is a challenge to find a Winter hat that is a style that I like and that fits snuggly. This one is just right and can cover my ears too.
When I got home from a walk to Cut Wood where I saw two lively squirrels and one chased me, Paul told me Hunter had attacked a starling in the garden. I was horrified because it is not long since Holly brought a starling indoors in her mouth and it was very shocked but we freed it without any physical injury.
Fortunately, Hunter was running across the garden and the bird managed to fall from his mouth. He has been gone for hours since then and has missed his lunch. Praying for his safe return.
I hope you are having a good day and managing to keep warm. Thanks for visiting my site blip friends.
