Cherish Every Moment.
The Feast Day of Saint Edmund Rich.
I am posting this very early because I am still up at 12:30am. I was watching a film and now I must get to bed and sleep. I will write some more tomorrow. Sweet dreams!
Well after a decent peaceful sleep, the snow remained this morning and it was blue skied and sunny. Hooray. Just my favourite combination of weather. Mind you, it was according to the Google forecast at 8am, minus 4 but it felt like minus 7. The bird bath water was solid ice. I boiled the kettle and managed to crack the circle of thick ice. I topped up the seed feeder and put mealworms on the bird table and a couple of fat balls because the robin and bluetits like them. The birds visited in great number today because it is so cold and they know we love to feed them.
After getting the People' s Friend, I newspaper, and taking Jenny last week's copy, I came home for some muesli and decaf Gold Blend.
Hunter went out but Holly watched the birds from the conservatory. Paul had his breakfast and read the paper.
Paul painstakingly cleared the snow from the car roof. Then we drove to The Range to buy some floral and leaf design fabric cubes to store books in. They are a lovely green colour and just ideal to tidy things up. We both love reading and have collected many books over the years. We bought some more mealworm and Harrington cat sachets for Holly and Hunter. They won't eat anything else!
After lunch I went to see my friend Lynn. On the way home I went to One Stop and bought a treat box of Terry's Chocolate Orange truffles. They are very sweet but nice, with crunchy bits in a soft orange flavoured milk chocolate truffle centre.
Now we are cosy indoors watching Escape to the Country in Oxfordshire. It is expensive there but a lovely rural environment.
Have a lovely rest of Wednesday, keep warm and thank you for your kind comments blip friends.
The black and white cat is called Nancy and belongs to Ashley and Maureen my friends. Nancy is an intelligent neighbourhood cat and like our two cats, she explores a big area.
