A very old smocked dress!

This is a handmade dress of mine from long ago! I’ve been doing a bit more sorting of things..I have three smocked dresses and think this one can go so I’ve offered it to the fashion museum which is going to take my mother’s wedding dress when we next go to Dorset. 
Very different from what children wear now! 

Today was so so gloomy again. I made a quick trip to Kingston to return something and buy a few craft items.

This afternoon I set out to go to the allotment on my bike  but it was so cold I decided to keep going and do a bike ride instead, I cycled round the perimeter of Bushy Park which I have not done for ages, it’s about 6 to 7 miles. Good to see lots of families and dog walkers despite the dismal weather.
