Back blip

Finished off the cleaning of our walk-in kitchen cupboard/bodega. Well, almost…sshhh….the bottom shelf still to do and that will be done soon.

Registered the guarantee for our new hoover - it wasn’t as easy as it sounds and took longer than it should have done. Then tried to sort out a package which should have arrived on Saturday, but wasn’t delivered, but was marked delivered. Again, it was a bit of a process, but a refund should be on the way. I refused their first offer of a voucher.

Our phones started buzzing very loudly this morning and we were alarmed to see that it was an official emergency warning about storms and rain in Barcelona. It did rain heavily not long after, but eased off, thankfully. The situation in Valencia just gets worse and worse, sadly.

We both got our flu and latest Covid jabs this afternoon and then went off to track down 4 cinema tickets we’d bought online ages ago, received by email, and then couldn’t find. The only way to remedy it was a physical visit to the cinema and they fixed it within a minute by giving us paper tickets. Turns out we won’t be able to use them now, but they’ve been passed on to our neighbours. They’re for The Graduate, one showing in one cinema.

My blip is of a lovely old-fashioned bakery/chocolate shop near the cinema. The contents looked beautiful, but we resisted!

Dinner was the leftovers of our Indian meal from Saturday.
