Recalibrating
(3/11/24)
Isn't that a great word? I read it on someone's CV a couple of years ago and thought that was a really clever way to say they had to stop and take stock.
That's what I did this morning after yesterday's fiasco. I didn't sleep much through the night so drove G to school - something I haven't done in ages. I didn't realise that on a Wednesday, she has nearly three hours of hanging around between lessons. The last one is mental maths, so she skipped it for today meaning I wasn't out for too long.
I enjoyed my coffee and croissant at a nearby Costa whilst writing the text for the journals from 26-29 October. As you can see, Costa has created a template to mark 25 years of operating in the UAE.
The rest of the day was spent catching up on sleep. I got to my laptop around 4 PM, to code invoices and send new ones for processing. By the end of it, I had managed to get my head back in the right place, not that there are any other choices, but it's good if you can be happy with what you do, methinks.
I tried to get G to watch the movie "A Man Called Otto". She found it interesting but was too tired to stay awake for all of it.
