Tekapo

Day 21
The day started with a fab cooked breakfast at the hut in Cass. After packing up, and cleaning the hut, we headed south East, as this was the best weather forecast. We stopped off in Geraldine, then Fairlie for supplies. I found a little campsite marked on the Tekapo east lakeside, it was windy and exposed, but had the most amazing view. We found a place with a bit of protection from the low bush, and got the tent up. We cooked Schnitzel and made a sandwich with avocado and tomatoes, then shared a blueberry muffin. I had a good roam around the area, then went to bed as soon as it was completely dark. Unfortunately I just couldn’t get off to sleep at all, completely wide awake until 06.30, then one hour’s sleep!
