Woooooo!
I woke feeling very achey and not great…I suppose that’s the effects of my flu jab, but had to get up to go and move the car and then get ready for the boiler servicing guy. He didn’t come at the start of the time slot I’d been given but you can guarantee that if I’d gone back to bed he would have been there at 8! Once he’d been and done that I grabbed the chance for another Holyrood Park walk since it was largely bright and sunny, although with a stiffer wind as I came round the back of Arthur’s Seat.
I had a quieter afternoon before getting changed and ready to go across to Glasgow for the autumn graduation ceremony. Chatted to A on the way who was going home early and concerned they wouldn’t get their Halloween decorations and guiser treats ready in time (they did manage it though, extra). As always it was a lovely ceremony, followed by supper with Fellows and the new Honorary Doc and Professors.
I dashed away to get the 8.45 train home…surrounded on the walk at each end and on the train itself by all sorts of ghouls, pirates, zombies and other funny costumes. Most hadn’t done much more than wear some face paint but there were some really inventive costumes, and just as well it was mild as many of the young women had very few clothes on!
I got this photo from H to show AR and Mx all dressed up ready to go out around the neighbourhood, Mx wearing the stormtrooper outfit I bought for his birthday.
Straight to bed when I got home.
