Signs in the Sky
It was a pleasant day, and B had the morning off. So I postponed work, and we went for a walk. Just around the corner from the main road, we came across a big Aesculapian snake on our path (see second extra). It was an adult, about 150 centimetres long, and B was a little scared. But these snakes are harmless, unless you are a rodent.
I had hoped to see migrating cranes on our walk. No luck then, but in the afternoon, a few flocks were on their way along the Rhine - westwards today. They were flying very high up, and not always easy to see, but I could always hear them coming.
