Zug

We woke up to rain and low cloud, so we decided we did not want to walk in those conditions. A better plan was to pack up and go visit the city of Zug on our way to the airport in Zurich.

When we got to Zug the rain had stopped and it was sunny once again. Zug is known as a hub for some of the wealthiest people in the world, and consequently there is a high concentration of wealth there. It is a beautiful city, with the modern part of the city quite separate from the Altestadt, the old city. We visited the charming lanes of the Altestadt, and then found a restaurant to have a light lunch before going to the airport.

Our British Airways flight was 40 minutes late in departing. Luke was telling us about a report he read saying that BA are focusing on their profits and not their customer service, and so they cancel flights or delay flights with no regard for their passengers. They really have become one of the worst airlines in the world but living in the UK they are our national carrier and we often have no choice but to fly with them.

It was therefore late by the time we got home. Xena was delighted to see us, as was Tommy (I think?) and it was a bit busy unpacking and getting sorted for the week ahead.

It is now very late and I need to get to bed as I have quite a bit on tomorrow, including a visit to the day hospital to have my mole removed.
