On the roof
Quite a broken night with the babies, they woke up a few times which of course made me stay awake longer. However having dropped them off at nursery, bumped into Abby who worked for us at the beginning at Euston dropping off her son too, small world, I set off to meet Seth for a cup of coffee before going to see the film of Conclave from the novel by Robert Harris. Just before the film began I got an encouraging phone call from the BBC, about how good the Nightsleeper figures are. Which was definitely positive but not definitive yet.
The film was excellent - I’d read the book which certainly made for a different experience to those who hadn’t but I thought it was extremely good. Seth and I are working together on a different Robert Harris book so it was useful to see.
On the spur of the moment we went to the Soho House on the Strand and the weather was so warm we could have lunch on the roof and despite the no photo policy I took this quick snap to record the moment.
Back to pick up the babies, quite tricky pick up trying to wrangle both of them home, including momentarily losing Ivy.
Safely in the house I put all phones and tablets away and concentrated on them. It was fairly anarchic but although they went to bed a bit later than planned they settled soon after.
I slumped eating left overs and watching Scandi Noir crime series.
