Mum’s Last Hurrah

It was the big family get together today, an event which takes place rarely just because of the logistics of herding everyone from distant places to the one spot. As the Menu heading states, I’m hoping to bow out of hosting the meal . However as daughter #2 reminds me , she has Power of Attorney!
There were just two grandchildren and one greatgrand child missing. Nina played the pipes as we trooped in for the meal but a shower of rain shortened the recital.

It was a jolly meal at a large table with people free to change seats between courses so that everyone had the chance to mingle. Photos were taken in the garden where it was breezy and cold but sunny.
I enjoyed myself and I hope that the younger cousins all got to know each other a bit better and enjoyed meeting their uncles and aunts.
The Yorkshire Family is coming tomorrow morning for coffee before they drive south and hopefully daughters #1 and 2 will join us.
