Tain

8 hours driving in the van but lovely autumn colours en route to Tain and a beautiful parking spot on the Dornoch Firth.

We walked up through the town via Tesco for supplies and reached Jo and Alf in time for a very welcome G&T before a delicious dinner cooked by innovative chef Alf. Many thanks to both for hospitality and conversation.

Hopefully the weather will be better than predicted so that we get a walk round Loch Fleet but if not Jo has plenty of interesting alternatives.

It’s cold up here so the heater is on in the van for the first time this year. Thermals ready!
