If you can't run, ride!

I don't often do a 'between the ears' photo, mainly as I don't often have my hands free and / or my phone with me if I'm having a lesson.  Today I had both, which as it turns out was fortunate.  

Bearing in mind I live on the edge of a big (and quite ugly) suburban sprawl, there is some amazing hacking available from the yard I ride at, 20 mins away in the car.  We have one road to cross and then miles of bridle ways and quiet country roads.  Unfortunately not quiet enough today as two (of the four of us) of the mares decided to get all marey with each other and have a kicking competition, resulting in one (human) dead leg, a lot of squealing and a delayed return (hence the need for the phone) while the owner of the leg recovered herself enough to make it back.  She's ok, ie nothing is broken, but she'll have a big bruise for a while.

Other than that, I sorted out some (very expensive, you gotta love dynamic pricing) flights and accomodation (also expensive as Himself wanted a room updgrade that wasn't worth arguing about) for a half marathon I'm doing in March next year and helped No. 2 Not Child decide what she wants to do ref appealing some of her  final exam results.
