curns' corner

When visiting Arreton Barns last Saturday, I bought some cola bottles, the chewy sweets I used to like as a child. I was buying my breakfast (toast and marmalade) in the canteen this morning when I discovered a selection of classic sweets on the counter and a huge jar of cola bottles. Have I just noticed them because I bought some over the weekend, or have they just arrived? Nobody I was with seemed to know.

There were drinks after this afternoon's All Hands (in my case, a glass of Prosecco and a glass of wine), and then some of us went to the local bar (for beer instead of wine). I hadn't intended to stay out, but it was a fun night, although I should never get involved in conversations about agile development practices and whether Scrum is better than Kanban. It's a recipe for a dull argument.

At the end of the night, I checked the app and discovered that if I took the tube one stop to Shepherd's Bush and then rushed across the road, I could make the Overground to Clapham to connect with the last train from Waterloo. And it magically worked.
