A Morning in Heylor

A dull morning, but cleared into a sunny afternoon, with a lovely sunset.  Slightly warmer today.

Up early, the weekend over in a flash.  Got my duties for the day, a day with Cliffy (Graham Cliff) on the mini essykert.  We headed north in the morning, black bag bins.  Back to Lerwick and Scalloway for clinical waste, then an afternoon on plastic recycling bins around Lerwick.  Walkies with Sammy after work, then his bath time.  A lovely quiet evening at home, last walkies of the day, then early to bed.

The best of the day was certainly in the afternoon, but even the dull morning still had nice views.  The Blade, sticking out in the voe, has been moving inshore over the past hundred years or so.  When I was a bairn, the pier there was still surrounded by water, today, the Blade has swamped it with it's sands and pebbles.  Looking in Ronas Voe, Heylor, Northmavine.
