Scorie on da Bonnet

A fine day, mostly cloudy with the odd sunny spell.  Windy to flat calm.

Up fairly early, got washing out after breakfast.  Headed into Lerwick for some shopping, and briefly met up with sis Julie.  Headed down to mam's, only dad home, he made a cuppa.  I finished off delivering those leaflets, then back to town for a few bits and bobs.  Working in the shop this evening, then off out with friends for Brian's birthday.

The unexpected second trip to town meant it would make teatime late, not great when working later.  Instead, we decided to grab a chip supper.  It never takes long before the scories (young gull) or maa's (adult gull) notice you in the car with a bag of chips.  They're never shy about it, land on the car, the occasional peck at the window too.  I wonder if these birds would survive without humans? Taken outside Thulecraft, Commercial Street, Lerwick.
