Time past

After our usual Monday Aqua, sauna and swim, D dropped me off at Irongray Church and I walked home. Because there were no cows in the field for once, I made a detour to visit the Hallhill Covenanters’ Monument. This marks the spot where two covenanters were hanged without trial from an oak tree by Grierson of Lagg in 1685. The rest of the day has passed quietly - it has been drizzly so I thought I would sort out some piles of old memorabilia but I ended up just looking at it all and enjoying the memories of times gone by :-)
