River of Flowers

Sunday: Itea ilicifolia

Fine and dry all morning and early afternoon, MrD had gone over to help his sister and her husband, I had a morning in the garden.

The narrow garden down the path to the Itea -

This afternoon I did a ten minute tidy up of the deep bed behind the garage then planted some of the garlic and “Red Russian” kale (Friday’s Blip) finish off with a mulch of grass cuttings and chopped leaves from yesterday. As I was finishing the rain started, getting heavier until torrential by tea time. Bedtime now and still heavy rain.

We watched “The Children Act” starring Emma Thompson this evening, a very moving film, incredible actors and so many twists and turns …
