Monday: View from the Van

I think it rained all night, we both slept through it and even had a lie in until 7:30 …

Rain continued all day. MrD said he needed to go to Screwfix (I can’t remember why!), there were a few groceries we needed so I went along with him …

It went a little chaotic towards the end of the shopping, I bumped into someone I’d known for a very long time who lived near MrD’s parents, he’d moved here from Spain and married a local woman who sadly died … I then bumped (literally!) into someone who remembered me from my tech author days at the power station. Meanwhile, MrD had taken our shopping through checkout, packed everything into boxes in the van and was looking for me in the shop …

After all the shopping, talking and reminiscing we were both hungry … time for lunch.

This afternoon (still raining!) I watched another episode of “Who do you think you are?” with Gemma Collins, whom I’d never heard of - this was such an extraordinary story of an amazing family of generations of brave women who overcame so many challenges!
