No thank you!
Today was much more relaxed than yesterday thank goodness - I didn't fit any toilet seats!
Colin's sister was coming down today and leaving her car here before heading off to Spain. She and her husband are gradually moving onto their boat from which she hopes to work most of the time and it's moored there at the moment.
I headed off to Costco, mainly to buy Appletiser which is my drink of choice, it's a much better price from there. I always enjoy their tasting samples as I wander round, today there were sausages, chicken Jahlfrezi, hot chocolate, but not the subject of my blip - probably just as well.
These are double packed in vacuum bags and cost £37.99 each. Durian, here described as the king of fruit, is banished from most forms of transport and many restaurants in South East Asia where it is grown. It has a very strong smell, even sealed in its shell, which many find quite revolting. I'm glad that these were well sealed.
According to Wikipedia, the smell has been described as "a combination of sulfur, sewage, fruit, honey, and roasted and rotting onions."
Here's the link if you want to know more. I've seen it in Tamil Nadu but fortunately not got too close. Some people force themselves to eat it as a dare, I believe the taste is better than the smell. I probably won't try it.
