Neat
The work on the soffits, fascias and guttering has paused for now but it's substantially complete. We need some bits for ventilation before it's finished, and apparently they haven't been delivered yet. But it looks much, much neater and it's not just a cosmetic job. It provides extra weather protection as well. It's definitely a solution which will see us out.
Given the state of the weather in much of the UK, I also thought it might be mildly aggravating if I took a picture that not only showed the works but also emphasised that we've had a lot of blue skies up in the north today. There have been some rain showers, but also quite a lot of sunshine, even though it is quite cold.
As ever, when I've been on my own in Edinburgh and come up here, it takes me a day or so to lean back in to the situation here. There's nothing wrong. It just takes a tiny bit of adjustment, much of which is very welcome because I don't have to look after myself to the same degree when I'm here as I do when I'm on my own in Edinburgh. Well done, Mr A.
A productive day of work, with - strangely enough - no online meetings. But lots of emailing and a bit of work on various documents. Tomorrow, I hope to do a bit of academic writing (well, editing).
