It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Autumn

Our last day of camping for 2024. And I had to wake up feeling terrible. Sometimes, those huge calcium tablets I take at night can upset my stomach. Not sure but it wasn’t fun. We got up early so I could take my morning meds hoping breakfast would help. I really could not eat. After my shower, I helped hubby with a few dirty dishes and went to bed until around noon. He started packing up our screen house and associated furniture/rugs. He made me cheese toast and after that, I felt much better. We read for a bit and then he took me to get my blip. I had scoped out this scene on Saturday. Sweet gum trees have the best Fall Foliage colors. And with the goldenrod and wing stem in the foreground, the trees and cloudy sky for a backdrop, I thought it screamed “Autumn.” We went back to the camper. I scrubbed the sweet potatoes and put the Brussel sprouts in a saucepan to steam. Hubby heated the ribs when the potatoes were ready. We had a very late lunch/early dinner. We’ll read for the rest of the day/evening. Hopefully, the rain will hold off until we pack up tomorrow. Wishing you fine weather this week. Stay safe. Thanks for your visit. “The bright summer had passed away, and gorgeous autumn was flinging its rainbow-tints of beauty on hill and dale.” - CORNELIA L. TUTHILL
