There is No Paradise on Earth

Our Tuesday forecast predicted rain, so we put away a lot of our outside decorations and furniture last night, including the screen house. We were up at 6:00 hoping to beat the heavy rain. We almost made it. There was still one large country sausage and an egg for hubby so we enjoyed a hearty breakfast to start the day. Hubby tackled the outside jobs; I cleaned and put away everything inside. We were packed and at the dump station by 11:30, just as the sky opened up. There are times when I am so thankful to be a female. Watching hubby at the dump station in the pouring rain is definitely one of those times. I wish I had noticed that yellow pole but I was more concerned about the incoming camper in the lane I was standing in. You get the idea what he has to go through to clean both tanks. And when we got home at 3:15, it was still raining but more of a light shower. We made three stops along the way. First to a rest area, then for lunch at the same Mexican restaurant we enjoyed on the way down and finally to fill the tank with gas. We parked in the neighborhood cul de sac and unloaded everything from the camper to my van. It took two trips with the van loaded each time. We only leave cookware, blankets, stuff like that, at the end of the season. I will launder all linens and store them at the house until Spring. It’s 5:15 and I just put away the last item. Will do one load of laundry but that’s it. Break time for sure. Wishing you a quiet evening. Stay safe. Thanks for stopping by. "Rain hangs about the place, like a friendly ghost. If it's not coming down in delicate droplets, then it's in buckets; and if neither, it tends to lurk suspiciously in the atmosphere." - Barbara Acton- Bond
