Another jaunt to
our local hospital to
adjust my new shoes

I had an 8:30 appointment with the orthotics department to add a dome to my new running shoes. I was in the hospital parkade before 8 to be sure to find a spot. That made me early to the department and early to be done. 

I got a shot looking down 3rd Avenue from the entrance to the hospital. I sat in the hallway waiting for a few minutes by the Orthotics Department to get more shots. 

I had the expert care of Patti who works her magic for people like me needing special footwear accommodations. It took her but minutes to have me smiling and out the door again. I've told her today that she is not allowed to ever retire. 

I wore my shoes home and by then I was ready to peel them off. I am hopeful they will serve me well but it may take a few days until they are "broken in " .

I'm home for the day with a few jobs to do.
