Bottled Water, Maidstone
It was the usual at the usual i.e the weekly shop. Not much more to add and as boring as it sounds and, as usual, it ended with a swift pint at The Horseshoes in East Farleigh which is where I took my extra shot. This "display" for Aperol Spritz has been sitting in it's garden for months, often one or other of the deckchairs (the other is just out of shot) has blown over when there is a strong breeze. I've never seen anyone sitting in either of the deckchairs or anyone drinking said beverage inside so the promotion of the product in this case doesn't really work. The violent orange colour of the drink is enough to put me off it anyway!
My main shot was taken at the River Len's confluence near the Archbishop's Palace in Maidstone just before it passes under a road bridge. Being in the centre of town the water is never free of detritus and this discarded plastic bottle was floating amongst the reed beds. I found it a strangely arresting sight but also depressing at the same time.
