Essykergord
A fine calm and dry day, but overcast with low cloud and mist hanging over the hills. Much cooler than the past few days.
Headed to work, last shift of the week and on the south essykert with Jack and John. More black bag bins, collection from north Tingwall, Girlsta, Stromfirth, Whiteness and Weisdale. I saw more mice in people's bins today, and yucky liquid in the face. After work, packed up the caravan, headed to Brae for the weekend. Possibly could be the last chance out with the caravan. Enjoyed a walk this evening with Sammy, got dark quickly. Might try a pint at the Boating Club.
It's not been a tough couple of weeks, but after being a desk based job, I can now feel old forgotten muscles being used again. I'm fairly enjoying this job, seeing plenty while out and about. I was worried I may slow down the boys, but Jack was saying we've been making good time for our collections. See what week three brings, hopefully a fitter me. With over 100,000 steps already done this week, I think I'll take things easy this weekend, not neglecting Sammy's essential walkies. A quick snap of the essykert in the Kergord Woods, Weisdale.
