Colours Of New Crane (Grindelwald - day 5)

Grindelwald railway station is undergoing a major upgrade, due largely to the growth in tourism to the area from the Asian and East Asian countries. We have experienced this for ourselves. Whilst we expected the area to be popular we have been stunned by the sheer numbers of visitors from China, Malaysia, Taiwan, Philippines, Korea and India. 

Teeming....

The crane was not there when we went out in the morning. But it was when we returned in the afternoon.

Today we joined the throng for a very enjoyable trip to Lauterbrunnen Valley ( 1st three extras) One of my new favourite places in the world!

Then this evening I went walkabout and captured some shots of the mountains and cable car. 

The light was mesmerising. (extras)

Tomorrow is our final day and we plan to take the slow boat to China )  train to Kleine Schiedegg for a close up view of Eiger Nordwand and Jungfrau.
