Diary of an Edinburgher

Fast OAP!

Another beautiful day! Let's do something! Let's ignore the sunshine - we get so much of it - and go to the pictures.

Actually, no - this was arranged ages ago, and it's a two-for-one with a Times subscription, only on a Wednesday, sunny or not.

JR went to Pilates - there's no jumping about, and so the sore toe was OK.

Archie went to spend the afternoon at Pip's house. JR went on into town before me, needing to sort something out at the bank. But as she signalled the bus to stop, it DID NOT. It sailed on by, apparently full. She must be the only OAP in the land who could RUN to next bus stop and catch it as people got off.

And so we went to see 'Lee', the story about Lee Miller, fashion model turned photographer, who photographed the end of WW2, and the liberation of concentration camps. It was very good.  And very long.

When we came out into bright sunshine again, I had time to snap the two giraffes, before arriving at the bus stop at the same time as our bus. I love that!

Home in time for a Magnum in the last of the sun in the back garden.

Slow Horses tonight...
