A Tram
After breakfast this morning our son headed back to the games venue for the second day of his tournament.
I have took the opportunity for a little wander around town and also a trip to the end of the line on one of the trams. I just got on the first one that came along and it took me to Clifton terminus where I grabbed this shot of it before we made the return journey. I am well impressed with the trams here … cheap fares and frequent services. It has cost £3.80 a day for unlimited day travel with my bus pass concession..
On the way back I got off at Nottinghm train station and wandered around the canal and city centre for an hour or so.
The canal was a little disappointing after my recent trip to Birmingham..but I managed a shot of a couple of narrowboats moored up outside a ‘museum’..which I suspect is probably defunct..see first extra…
A successful tournament for our son - he got an award for the Best Model…the award is in the second extra…I didn’t see which of his models won the award - doh!
We will be off out for a meal soon - meeting with a few of his friends from the tournament.
