Strawberrries.

The sign attached to this motorbike at Lichinga’s small airport says ‘don’t travel without strawberries’. This area is a strawberry production hotspot due to its climate, so I followed the advice diligently.

I reached Maputo by the afternoon after almost three weeks in Lichinga, far longer than I expected to be there. I can confirm that the strawberries were delicious with some natural yogurt in my hotel room in the evening. Although it would take me several days to get through the volume that I bought, so I gave the bulk away to some security guards at a nearby building.
