In recent years, strolling the broken pavements of Maputo is an activity that has brought me moments of calm. I have a couple of nights here so thus it was today as I walked to and from the office. The sky was blue, the late afternoon light was nice, the fruit vendors were making their final sales of the day, and the traffic was manageable rather than roaring.
