Diary of an Edinburgher

By LadyMarchmont

We all took a stroll down to check out another vet, after yesterday’s misunderstanding of the meaning of a ‘follow up’ visit. My understanding has always been that if we’re asked to bring Archie in to check on progress, then it’s free, and I have this impression because that’s what’s happened many times. Wrong.

But all vet practices are the same. And he has had some very nice, caring young vets, so no complaints there.

We then took a walk round West Bow, we passed this groovy gents’ hairdresser, and were invited in to have a look. There was very loud, but not unpleasant, music booming out.

Then we popped in to a cafe that we haven’t been for ages -Love Crumbs. As we walked on past the Moggy Hotel (yes, people pay to have a cup of tea and stroke some cats!) a woman stopped to ask where St Giles Cathedral was. We were going that way, so we walked along with her.

Funnily enough, she had already walked all the way down the Royal Mile yesterday, and hadn’t noticed it!! How can you miss a whopping great building?

Well, they’re filming in front of it, so access is limited. There were lots of actors in period costume hanging around. (Extras) Spot the woman letting some air round her nether regions).

I did my stint with the air fryer, but kept Archie well away. That works!
