One from yesterday

Today was a slow day.  I did a bit in the garden first thing while No.1 slept but left a note and a drawing of a greenhouse so she would know where I was when she woke!  She came and found me in the garden and I showed her what I had been doing.  Leisurely breakfast and then a quick walk scrumping some pears (rock hard but I am sure they will ripen).  Home for a cup of tea in the sun then she had a long sleep.  I think the hectic week has caught up with her.  I'm hoping she is feeling better for the weekend as JC is coming down tonight and has exciting things planned.

I popped out to Asda to get some birthday cards (I begrudge paying silly money for a piece of cardboard that goes in the bin) and felt sad as I wandered around as I have bought bits and pieces in there for No.1 over the last few years (eg pj's for hospital stay) and wondered about buying things for her in the future.  But I pushed those thoughts away for today.
