It was all about
the landscape - sky, river and
the vegetation

I was out on Mission Flats just after 7. I find I have to wait for the light to come up so I can see around me to take my photos. Early morning before sunrise is just too lacking in light. Our weather has changed so it's rather grey.

I drove to the end of the road watching for eagles or deer. We are warned that bear sitings are happening within the city limits, so I'm watching and listening for them, too. This morning no wildlife appeared for me.

I took a long shot looking east along the river. A sundog was hanging in the sky. I looked east to the delta for another long shot.

I noticed that the sagebrush is in bloom. That's a September event. The yellow stands out on the landscape. I noticed an interesting bush showing red so I had a closer look. I think that is poison ivy. I kept my distance.

On the way back to the bridge, I got a shot of my mountains across the river. The sky is hazy against the sunshine.

I was home by 8 with my breakfast. Trevor arrived shortly after I did. The flooring install continues.

I will see if I can muster some energy for shoe shopping today. Otherwise it will be a quiet day at home.
